Working with Paws in Peace

 Information for veterinary practices

The ability to end suffering is a privilege that we, as veterinary surgeons, are granted. A moment in time. To our clients that moment stays with them forever. We must get it right to the best of our ability. Work with us at Paws in Peace and we can help to achieve this for you, your clients and their pets.

As you are aware, home visit requests can be difficult and expensive to manage alongside scheduled practice clinics. Yet in a 2018 survey undertaken by The Ralph Site, 97% of families surveyed reported that they would prefer their pet’s passing to be managed at home. Indeed, further research finds that a third of owners will not return to a practice with any future pets following euthanasia, as they associate it too strongly with the sadness of losing their pet.

Paws in Peace is able to undertake home euthanasia visits for your clients, extending the same high levels of care and compassion that you provide, without the logistical challenges. Our aim is to work with you, to provide an extension of your practice ethos, rather than acting in competition to you – as a dedicated at-home euthanasia service, we do not undertake any other veterinary procedures or treatments.

Clients are charged directly by Paws in Peace.

Paws in Peace will keep you fully informed at all stages (with the client’s consent), so that you can ensure your practice records are always up to date.

Paws in Peace’s founder Kate Fairclough B.Sc., B.Vet.Med., Cert. SAM, MRCVS is a highly experienced vet, having spent over 25 years working at all levels in a range of small animal practices across the country.
